Director of Public Relations & Marketing – Somerset County Library System

The Somerset County Library System is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking Director of Public Relations & Marketing to develop a marketing and communication strategy to promote the services and resources available in its library system and community. SCLS is ten full-service branches and two reading stations serving 188,000 people in fifteen of Somerset County’s twenty-one municipalities. The ideal candidate will have: a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing or journalism; Master’s degree preferred; 7+ years related experience with at least 3 years in a management position; 3+ years supervisory experience; peerless written and oral communication skills; extensive experience in writing for multiple platforms including print, web, and social media; excellent computer skills with experience in web content management systems, use of social media platforms, and e-newsletter software; history of consistent media placement and the ability to develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with the media, the staff and the communities we serve.

Annual salary of $80,416, an excellent benefits package, and generous leave policy.
